Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

Phase One

Today on another local blog, Ligonier Living , referring to the trail (Phase One), the question was asked, "Hey, where the heck does it start?... Is there a sign?

Sorry - no sign yet. However, its easy to find.

On Peoples Road from Route 711, after about 1/4 mile there is a 90% bend. On your left you pass Mohawk Lane, and then in about 200 yards/meters, is Baltic Street. After Baltic, the power lines cross and go in both directions along the rail bed. The trail, Phase One, is on the left.

Since there is no gravel yet, parking there must be done carefully. Also, there are ditches to either side of the trail on the road berm, so be cautious. It may be best to park along Baltic and begin the walk there, watching for cars on People's.
As you walk the trail, Marker/Miller Farm will be on your right. Borough ahead. Its a nice walk, but watch for groundhog holes. Its not yet graded, but it is cleared of brambles.
Please notice the Jersey barrier at the bridge abutment. Be safe.

At this time it is an out and back walk that is a 1 1/2 mile round trip. Happy Trails!
