Hunting Concerns On the Railbed

Recently, a trail user was warned that hunting season is upon us and that people are hunting nearby.

The rail bed section was generously donated to Ligonier Township by Bethlen Communities through an easement, to use as a trail. The wooded portion of the trail from Kananga Farm to Mill Creek is Bethlen Communities land on both sides. Since the trail development began, Bethlen Communities has turned down requests for hunting on the surrounding property as a safety precaution for the trail walkers and bikers.

Please know that if hunters are seen anywhere along the surfaced rail bed section near Peoples Road, you should call 911 or Bethlen Communities to make them aware of the problem. Hunting is not allowed.
